Convenience is one of the only buzzwords that seems to matter these days. While this has led many companies around our industry to double down on their products to appease consumers, Ambrosi Food USA is making sure retailers and foodservice operators get something out of the bargain, too. Recently, the cheese provider launched a new Fresh to Order Precut cheese line to help those retailers needing a smaller, faster, and more on-demand option ready to go on the fly.
Luigi Ambrosi, Marketing Manager, Ambrosi Foods“The Ambrosi Group has been producing and distributing premium Italian cheeses since 1942, always innovating and utilizing cutting edge technologies. The mission of the company is to always offer the highest quality of products and services, which Ambrosi Food USA is upholding through our new fixed weight precut line,” Luigi Ambrosi, Marketing Manager, told me. “This line will be the first ever domestically cut offering of Italian PDO cheeses, fully controlled by Italian producer Ambrosi and adhering to our high and traditional standards.”
The new line offers Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano, and Pecorino Romano freshly grated, shredded, and shaved in cups, as well as all other Ambrosi cheeses in fixed weight wedges. Wedges are available in 6- to 7-ounce packages that use the latest technology to ensure freshness and durability. In terms of packaging, the Fresh to Order, fixed weight line features transparent packaging with a modern design that perfectly showcases the cheese inside and catches shoppers’ eyes. Ambrosi is also excited about its “Millennial Label,” which draws connections to some of Italy’s most important landmarks and traditions.

“The Millennial line is perfect for independent grocers, local stores, and neighborhood markets. They wouldn’t need to cut it, nor put too much effort in placing orders and selecting the products. Ambrosi will give them a chance to easily manage and replenish their cheese stock with a vast range of branded fixed weight options from a respectable premium Italian cheese producer,” Luigi explained. “Presenting this line of different cheeses under one common brand can become a point of reference for consumers who trust the brand and, thus, may be willing to try another cheese that they may otherwise have been skeptical to try or simply have not been able to find.”
In total, Ambrosi Food USA will offer a range of 30 Italian and PDO cheeses in its new Fresh to Order line beginning March 1st.
